Hard working and friendly staff. Clean and tidy - although outside windows could do with a wash. Informative staff at all levels kept me informed all the way. Excellent catering and cleaning staff. Food was lovely and staff were always polite. Cleaner even asked permission to clean the room I was in! Considering I was seriously ill it was a good experience.

Absolutely brilliant, my first time here, very helpful staff who got me settled in A+E. I was seen quickly, an assessment was made and the require treatments were administrated. They then performed some post tests to ensure I was good along with secondary checks. The staff were professional, courteous and friendly.

Our daughter has been under the cardiac team since she was a few weeks old back in 2001. We are so grateful to all the staff at this wonderful hospital - we are under no doubt without their wonderful care she wouldn't be here now. Leah has had several open heart surgeries - where we were told every step of the way what would be happening next. We have also had whole family support especially from Helen the play specialist!! We often talk about the fun times we had at this hospital - rather than the awful stressful time we could remember. The staff here are second to none and we are very sad to now leave to be transferred to the adult QE hospital.

Excellent hospital! Friendly nurses and great Consultant. Been meaning to write a review..I choose Bhm to give birth to my baby and I am glad I did. I had a few complications on the way but the team were very friendly always to hand and always putting my mind at ease. From the first day when we were given a tour of the rooms, the procedure, what would happen , parking information and things I would need. It seemed like a fine tuned machine and that hopefully everything would run smoothly. Pregnancy isnt easy for any mother and I can tell you from my experience the nurses and consultants were fantastic, its times like these where you must put your trust and faith in people you do not know and I can promise you I felt safe in their hands and knew they would look after me and my baby. It was a long labour but the amount of care and love they gave me before and love they gave us after I had no choice but to send them flowers and chocolate as they really deserved this. During pregnancy you feel hot and cold and I couldn't regulate my temperature but they were fantastic, when I was cold they warmed the room when I was hot they cooled me down, they helped me dress after and which I can tell you isn't easy, but they make you feel comfortable. I dont think hospitals get enough credit for the amazing work they do, but we had a good experience, the nursery was always clean, everyone was friendly and caring. Post pregnancy care is very important and they are really thorough in making sure everything is perfect before you leave. Well done maternity unit!

The new NHS website below is very well worth a look. Hospitals are not only listed but evaluated. I certainly know which ones I would go to! At the very least you will know what questions to ask if you are sent to one which has not entered its data. Good luck!
